Order Entry and Billing System for a Publishing Company
Client	Billion dollar worldwide tradeshow management company.

Critical Issue	Order-processing was based on an obsolete and non-scalable platform and involved myriad of manual procedures. This resulted in lack of information integrity and resulted in high costs of doing business.
Reasons	Client has Oracle Accounts Receivables and General Ledger and also uses a CAD package to track the floor space sold to customers. All these applications were disconnected and no information was shared between the Order-processing procedures and these applications.
Vision	Client believed they could significantly reduce problems by systemically enforcing complex business rules and procedures via a custom Order processing application. The order processing system will tie the A/R, G/L and CAD databases via system interfaces. This will enable seamless and integrated work-flows between the various organizations that handle different aspects of the business.
Solution	Annams Systems was chosen over two other System Integrators to design and build an Order-Entry and Invoicing application along with system interfaces: A normalized data model was developed for the system, and Oracle was selected as the database. Bi-directional customer and invoice interfaces were built with the Oracle A/R package. Oracle Developer 2000 and Designer 2000 were used to build and design the majority of the programs. Additionally C++ and Visual Basic was utilized for specialized functionality. Bi-directional interfaces were built so that users can visually rent and unrent floor space for tradeshows.
Results	Client has reduced the cost of operations by more than 50%. Business procedures are consistently enforced across variety of business groups resulting in timely and accurate revenue reporting. Double and triple data entry has been eliminated along with all the other associated problems with non-integrated processes and systems.
